At Domaine Chatellier, we have been producing high-quality Muscadet Sèvre and Maine sur Lie for more than 7 generations. Our wines show and highlight our passion and our know-how. The vineyard is located between 2 rivers : the Sèvre and the Maine which are the last two tributaries of the Loire. Our vineyards flourish on granite, gneiss and shale soils.
We take care of choosing an optimal date to start the harvest and we harvest the grapes with a team of harvesters. Once the grapes are arrived at the cellar, the vinification and winemaking starts. Here in the Muscadet, we are used to age our wines on Lees. It is an ancestral savoir-faire. This process enables the creation of a specific “perlant”, which brings freshness in the mouth. This is a unique and particular characteristic of wine making on Lees and typical of our appellation. Thanks to that, Muscadet gains in complexity and minerality.
Our Muscadet Sèvre et Maine and our Cru Clisson reflect the expression of our terroir and our know-how.
We also provide numerous grape varieties. Indeed we produce whites, dry, semi-sweet or sweet wines, rosés, red wines, méthode traditionelle and méthode ancestrale.
